Here is some positive feedback we received about the implementation of student research organizers within the 4 step research process.
"The process was successful. The visual use of different coloured sheets for different resources worked well. The envelopes worked well to track students progress but the number of conferencing sessions and need to signing per research session was unrealistic from a time perspective. However, I was able to assess visually on the chart paper how students were doing in the processing stage of the research process very easily.” -M.Reeves

"Creating A Research Continuum Within The School" Presentation at OLA Super Conference 2010
Lisa and I will be presenting practical suggestions on how to advocate, collaborate and how to setup your research area, in order to initiate, promote and sustain a research continuum within your school. Our OLA presentation (Fri. Feb. 26, 2010) will include asking audience members to participate in a reflection activity in which they will complete a Checklist of What Teacher-Librarians Can Offer. (templates are posted below) Lisa and I will also share a Research Skills Continuum Partnering Checklist which can be used for planning and tracking purposes. (template is also posted below)
